Project Scope
The emergency services across Europe have a legal duty to respond to a wide range of incidents to provide help, support and services to the public. These range in scale from dealing with lost property right through to responding to major natural disasters and terrorist incidents.
The project mission was to show:
- How innovative ICT location technologies can be integrated and combined with location based services to provide a range of applications that together provide an end to end solution for the emergency services
- How real scenarios and operational requirements can be used to build, test and demonstrate the provision of such services
- The value of the emergency service user community working in partnership with companies and organisations to develop end to end solutions rather than individual technologies or items of equipment.
ShadowFocus role
ShadowFocus acted as a project manager for this European project, representing the needs of the emergency service across Europe, along with the Italian Fire Service.
