To provide a legal framework within which new and existing weigh in motion systems and technologies can operate across the European Community in order to reduce the harm caused by overloaded vehicles.

To present to the European Commission the requirements (strategic, tactical, legal, technical, operational) for the harmonised and interoperable deployment of weigh in motion systems throughout Europe at both strategic and tactical levels.
